I have realized a correlation between the amount that I swim and the degree of tenderness/pain felt in my wrists.Allow me to expand on that: I swim every day and I concentrate on my form and what it is that I do with my motions so I do not think that my technique is out of whack (at least not greatly) as far as my hands are concerned.
