In Wrist: Wolverine's Claws

A while back, I was watching Unskippable's video for a Wolverine game and they brought up an interesting question. When Wolverine retracts his claws, if said claws have blood on them, does said blood go into his body too? I've never seen it mentioned in the comics or in the (amazing) 90s cartoon so I guess Marvel never thought about it but, yeah, I guess it would be a concern.However, his healing ...Wrist
