In Thigh: Has anyone experienced having it hurt to hold on to a steeringwheel

I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my hands wrist and elbows. I have carpel tunnel in both wrists, and it was very hard for me to hold on to the steering wheel back when I did drive, I haven't driven in nearly 3 years now, as well as holding anything or doing anything for very long periods of time.
